The only permanent fix I found was to reinstall the OS and then a fresh copy of the GPO worked every time after that. One difference between those PC's is that the ones who lock after 1min show an entry in the register for the screensaver timeout at 60 seconds. But it still should work with the other settings IMHO. It is ackward as I've not seen this kind of problem with the Windows 2K3 domain and XP clients. VMWare tools cannot be uninstalled unless you are in a virtual machine, it spits out an error when trying to uninstall.
