In conclusion, test the instruments without pressing the details tab at all and they should work. You need not move on from this step for now at least, just keep testing out the different sounds. This is not time wasted, as in future tutorials it'll come in very handy to build up a mental image of what the instruments sound like. At an Apple retailer where I have worked, their installation in ~/Library/Application Support/GarageBand is 14.57GB, and their installation in ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/ is 32GB.
